Festival of Waterborne Lanterns

July 20–21, 2019, will see the celebration of floating paper lanterns at the Tsaritsyno Museum Reserve

       In the daytime, you can take a walk along the picturesque alleys of Tsaritsyno Park, and admire the magnificent architecture of the Imperial Palace. Evenings will be the magic time for attending live concerts and making your own paper lanterns float.


      During the festival days there will be contests, prize draws and educational events in Tsaritsyno.

      All comers will be welcomed to take part in free workshops on creating paper lanterns. The park will also host a fair of unusual designer souvenirs, as well as designer paper lanterns.


      The launch of water lanterns will be held at 10 pm and 10:30 pm every festival evening. The handmade fair runs from 10 am to 11 pm.


      Where: Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve at the address 1, Dolskaya Street, next to Orekhovo and Tsaritsyno metro stations, Moscow.
