“Strategy Partners” consulting company has conducted a research on the readiness of Russian business for digital information.
In particular, it was revealed out that only 4 percent of all companies in Russia had a corresponding strategy, while the vast majority (91 percent) used outdated business models. Business models in Russia are significantly inferior to those of developed countries in terms of introducing digital technologies. For example, only 17 percent of companies in Russia are involved in e-procurement, whereas this indicator amounts to 48 percent in the member countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.
The representatives of Russian companies explain this by the lack of knowledge about technology. A quarter of the research participants do not even understand how innovation can contribute to business development.
