From July 12 to October 13, 2019, the Moscow Kremlin Museum is holding a unique exposition of recently restored exhibits in the Assumption Belfry and the Patriarch's Court.
Visitors to the exhibitionThe Keepers of Time. Restoration at the Moscow Kremlin Museum will see ancient icons, jewelry masterpieces including the crown of Peter I, personal belongings of Russian monarchs, weapons with filigree carvings, helmets, a parade horse harness and others. Of particular value is the Sophia Wisdom icon of the early 15th century.
All the exhibits have been restored over the past five years in the workshops of the Kremlin Museum.
The exhibition will be complemented with a multimedia part that immerses public in the restoration process.
Children will enjoy a a special interactive program "I am a Restorer."
