India Day in Moscow

The Indian culture festival will turn the Sokolniki Park, Moscow, into an enchanting Oriental realm for three days.

This India Day Festival is dedicated to Indian Independence Day and the 150th anniversary since the birth of Mahatma Gandhi.

The festival program includes exotic Indian dances, songs, film screenings, traditions and cuisine.

The grand concert of India Day in Moscow will feature famous Indian singers and dancers  on the main stage, as well as performances by Russian dance groups in the park area. Movie lovers will have an opportunity to watch new Bollywood hits on a big screen.

Workshops on Indian dances, mehendi, yoga, and even an Indian wedding ceremony – there is a big range of events here to choose from.

A large-scale oriental fair at the festival will offer a variety of Indian goods: national clothes and jewelry, mahogany furniture, souvenirs, spices, teas, Ayurvedic eco-cosmetics, and more.

Over 30 Moscow restaurants will prepare traditional dishes and sweets that come from different parts of India.

Admission to the India Day is free for all comers.
