The government instructed to prepare a bill to legalize the online sale of alcohol by September 12.
The relevant departments will finalize bills on the legalization of the online sale of medicines and alcohol, RBC reports. The corresponding instructions were given by the head of the government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev.
So, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Federal Antimonopoly Service and the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare will have to prepare for consideration in the second reading a bill on the sale of drugs on the Internet. The document was submitted to the State Duma in October 2017, and in December it was adopted in the first reading. Departments must report on the results of work no later than November 7th.
The bill proposes to start selling drugs on the Internet in January 2020 in three cities - Moscow, St. Petersburg and Sevastopol. The relevant departments must also draft and submit for consideration a bill on the legalization of the sale of alcohol on the Internet by September 12th.
