Thriller “The Last Trial” Goes on General Release in Russia

The film is based on the terror attack during the Nord-Ost musical show in the Theater on Dubrovka, Moscow.

      August 29, 2019, will see the release of the thriller The Last Trial directed by Alexei Petrukhin and starring Irina Kupchenko, Andrei Merzlikin, Alisa Grebenshchikova and other famous Russian actors and actresses. The screening will take place in all cinemas of Russia.

      According to the plot, a terrible tragedy happens at the premiere show of the musical “Romeo and Juliet”. The building with the audience and theatre staff in it is taken hostage by masked terrorists. Among the hostages there is a history teacher who has to take on dangerous negotiations with terrorists. She gets involved in a tense psychological combat, with hundreds of human lives at stake.

      The film is based on the tragic events that took place in the Theater on Dubrovka, Moscow. From October 23 to 26, 2002 a group of terrorists took hostages the actors, staff and spectators of the Nord-Ost musical.
