Electronic Visas to Kaliningrad Region are in High Demand

The demand for electronic visas issued to foreign citizens to visit Kaliningrad Oblast has significantly exceeded expectations. As expected, electronic visas were in demand among foreign citizens.

      According to the border control of Kaliningrad Oblast, 40 thousand visas have been issued until now, and 30 thousand foreigners have already visited the region.

      It is important that citizens of all 53 countries included into the decree of the government of the Russian Federation received electronic visas. At the same time, Lithuania, Poland, Latvia and Germany are leading in the number of documents issued. According to the report, the permission to issue free electronic visas for visiting Kaliningrad Oblast was received by residents of 53 countries beginning from July 1.
