The Moscow Museum of Modern Art welcomes all to see the creativity of legendary Yoko Ono. The visitors will be introduced to her famous “Instructions”, as well as video works and performances.
Part of the exhibition will be an interactive project that pushes the issue of discrimination. In it, Yoko Ono asks women to talk about physical or moral violence that they had to face, as well as send a photo of their eyes. The resulting pictures and stories are demonstrated as well.
Yoko's works stand out with a special attitude towards the audience. She strives to make them not just observers, but co-authors. This event will help visitors answer questions about the meaning of art, its boundaries, as well as social and political engagement. It will broach the subjects of freedom, people's vulnerability, their passivity and concern for the world around them.
