Tula is included into the three largest museum centres in Russia; so the celebration of the 500th anniversary of the Tula Kremlin will be an international event.

      Tula Oblast is actively developing museum business - not only improving the work of existing museums, but also creating new ones. Tula is the third largest museum centre of the country after Moscow and St. Petersburg. In addition, in Tula Oblast they pay great attention to the development of regional and municipal museums.

      The next year will be significant for the region: in time to the anniversary year of the Tula Kremlin, the Museum Quarter will begin to work there. It will become a new point of attraction for the city residents and tourists.

      There are four federal museums in the region; they are popular among local residents and tourists, their attendance is growing year after year.
