In the coming years, the audience in this entertainment segment can reach 22 million people. Currently Russian e-sports market is estimated at about $ 40-45 million; at the year end of 2019, it can amount to$ 42 to $ 55 million, according to various experts.
At the moment, e-sports have become a full-fledged platform for professionals to earn money. People involved in this field can receive money not only directly on prize payouts, but also on the organization of events. They are sponsored by major brands and game developers; revenue is also received from the sale of tickets and advertising. According to PwC, an international audit and consulting firm, the growth of e-sports in Russia is the fastest in the world; besides, this is the fastest growing segment of the entertainment industry in general.
