In the first nine months of 2019, the Russian crowdfunding market declined by 42%, RBC reports. This is evidenced by the data of the Central Bank, presented at the closed working group with market participants.
This year, the market volume in the first nine months of the year amounted to 5.2 billion rubles. In 2017, the estimate for the same period was 7.7 billion rubles, and in 2018 - 8.8 billion rubles. Moreover, as the Central Bank notes, last year the valuation could reach 11.4 billion rubles, but it decreased due to the "unscrupulous player who left the market at the end of the year." The regulator does not disclose the name of this company.
The largest drop occurred in the b2b-lending segment, which fell by 80.5% - from 4.4 billion rubles to 860 million rubles. The volume of p2p financing decreased by 70%, amounting to 80.6 million rubles in the first nine months of 2019.
