The foreign investors’ interest in Russian assets is growing again. Foreign investors have invested $ 46 million in Russian funds over the past week, which has been the highest figure since early July, as Kommersant writes with the reference to the data from the Emerging Portfolio Fund Research (EPFR).
Interest in Russian assets is growing, whereas the demand for the assets of developing countries in general is decreasing - their funds lost $ 1.6 billion over the same period. Among BRICS countries, only Brazilian funds raised a larger amount of funds during a week - $ 119 million; Russia ranked second.
At that, China and India lost investors over the same period. Experts note that the market is influenced by geopolitical uncertainty - in particular, the situation between the United States and China.
