The Simplified Visa Processing Regime Boosted Tourism Development of the Far East

Thanks to the simplified visa processing regime, the regions of the Far East of the Russian Federation have been visited by over 128 thousand foreigners; a total of 168.8 thousand residents of other states have issued electronic visas.

      Since the beginning of the mechanism operation, the visa has been most popular with the Chinese citizens - 130,653 people have applied for it. Japan ranks second: 33,495 citizens used the simplified system. And traditionally, the third line in terms of popularity of e-visas was taken by the citizens of the Republic of India: 2427 citizens received the document. The most popular place to visit is Primorsky Territory; 124 623 people visited it by this electronic document. The electronic visa mechanism has been operating in the Far East since August 2017.
