An electronic visa regime will work at the “Zabaikalsk” international automobile border crossing point (Trans-Baikal Territory) in 2020.

This year, foreigners with an electronic visa began to be accepted at the Kadala airport (the city of Chita). Now this mechanism will work at the international automobile border crossing point of Zabaikalsk.

Accepting foreign citizens with electronic visas will attract tourists to the region, facilitate bureaucratic procedures, and evenly distribute workload at the border crossing point. An electronic visa is a permit of a short stay in Russian for foreigners. Foreign citizens with this document can stay in Russia for no more than 8 days. The point of departure must be the same as the point of entry to the Russian Federation.
