Russian bloggers account for 10 to 15 billion roubles of all advertising budgets of the country per year, as TASS reports with a reference to the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Communications Aleksei Volin.
In terms of volume, the advertising revenues of bloggers are comparable to the advertising revenues of the radio segment.
“Today we can establish the fact that modern bloggers receive from 10 billion to 15 billion roubles per year. This is comparable to the volume of advertising on all radio stations of the Russian Federation”, as Volin said. “Moreover, these 10-15 billion are not extra funds, they were redistributed from the advertising budgets that entered the market, therefore, they were not received by the people who consider themselves expert representatives of the industry producing content”, he also said.
