The government of Russia approved a plan for the implementation of the Development Concept of the Russky Island in Vladivostok. The purpose of the Concept is to create legal and economic conditions for the development of the Russky Island as an international scientific, educational and technological cluster.

      In particular, the plan provides for the creation of conditions for attracting private investment, infrastructural development of Russky Island, development of a scientific and educational cluster, development of tourist and recreational potential, creation of conditions for a comfortable life. In accordance with the plan of the island, for example, it is planned to create an innovative scientific and technical centre, Patriot Military Culture and Recreation Park of the Eastern Military District, “Vladivostok Fortress” tourist complex, as well as an international water sports centre and a safari park.
