A collector and a restorer, Aleksei Stavitsky has opened the first piano museum in Russia in Rybinsk (Yaroslavl Oblast).

The Rybinsk Piano Museum is not just an exhibition of musical instruments. This is a small concert hall, a place for holding musical evenings: it is characterized by good acoustics.

The oldest instrument on display is 180 years old. The piano was produced in 1840s by the Moscow Eberg factory. In the near future, the museum will be supplemented by the piano made in 1805. Two rooms contain a total of 16 instruments of domestic and foreign production.
