Potanin became the richest Russian billionaire of the year according to Bloomberg.

      The CEO and co-owner of Norilsk Nickel topped the ranking of the most wealthy Russian billionaires in 2019, compiled by Bloomberg. Potanin’s fortune grew by $ 8.5 billion over the year, reaching $ 28.2 billion.

      The second one in the ranking is the owner of Lukoil Vagit Alekperov, whose fortune increased by $ 6.2 billion to 22.3 billion. The top three  is closed by the Novatek board chairman Leonid Mikhelson, whose fortune grew to $ 24.6 billion, adding 5.2 billion.

      As noted in Bloomberg, a total of 23 Russian billionaires added $ 52.9 billion to their fortunes. This is the largest amount in four years.
