Tourist Police will be on Duty in Vladivostok since February 1

A specialized tourist police, which is responsible for ensuring the safety of  guests and helping tourists, will be on duty in Vladivostok since February 1, 2020.

      Today, Primorsky Krai is a leader in the tourism industry of the Far East, taking more than 73% of the volume of tourist flows in the Far Eastern Federal District. The tourist flow continues to grow, and therefore a specialized tourist police platoon is being created in Vladivostok. The tourist police will  wear an armband with inscriptions in Russian and English.

      The employees with mandatory knowledge of foreign languages are recruited. 

      The tourist police will ensure the safety of foreign guests, provide them with the necessary assistance,  and patrol popular tourist spots. It will be possible to distinguish the employees of the new unit by the armband with inscriptions in Russian and English. 

      According to the Government of the Primorsky Territory, during 9 months of 2019, more than 632 thousand tourists visited the region, which is 23% more than the same period in 2018. The region is most actively visited by tourists from the countries of the Asia-Pacific region - China, the Republic of Korea, Japan.
