Battle of Organs Concert in Petersburg Cathedral

The concert in an unusual format of a musical duel is going to prove that organ music cannot be boring.

Organ concert does not have to be serious at all. The Amadeus Concerts team, which cultivates European traditions of musical dueling in Russia, will take on the fact to prove this statement. For this country, the presence of two organs in one cathedral is a fantastic rarity, and Petrikirche is one of the few churches that make it possible for a concert in a duel format.

Two organists will alternately perform immortal pieces of music created by the greatest composers of different countries and eras. Musicians will demonstrate all their skills and make every effort to surprise listeners with the rich sound and unusual playing techniques of the organ.

When: 7 pm on  January 31

Where: Petrikirche, Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral, Saint Petersburg
