IDX, a subsidiary of the Internet Initiatives Development Fund (IIDF), is launching the Datamania platform to sell the right to use the personal data for a fee, Kommersant reports. The service will fully operate in the spring, when applications on iOS and Android come out.
The owners of Datamania are the IIDF and the Israeli Digital Human Capital Investment Fund. Investments in the project have already amounted to 50 million rubles. Within three years, it is estimated that investment will grow five times.
To sell your data, you will need to register in “Datamania” and indicate your accounts on social networks. The platform will check what data the user has. This information will be received by the business; If the proposed data is of interest to the company, it will send the user an offer to purchase it. Datamania is expected to attract one million users during the year. Business is ready to pay citizens from 20 to 200 rubles for different types of data; in addition, it can offer for these non-monetary rewards - bonuses and discounts.
