Two more dollar billionaires have been recorded in Russia. The founders of Veeam Software Ratmir Timashev and Andrei Baronov became dollar billionaires after a deal on selling the company concluded to the American Insight Partner fund.
The deal is estimated at about five billion dollars, according to the Veeam Software website. It is expected that the deal will be executed in the first quarter of 2020.
According to Forbes, thanks to the sale of the company, Timashev and Baronov have been included into the list of 200 richest Russians since 2017 and become dollar billionaires. Veeam Software was founded by Timashev and Baronov in 2006 and specializes in developing software for backup of virtual machines and monitoring virtual environments based on VMware and Hyper-V platforms. Veeam headquarters is located in Switzerland.
