By the end of 2019, the Russian consumer confidence index fell from 73 to 68 points after two quarters of growth, Kommersant reports. Now, in terms of consumer confidence, Russia is in the penultimate place in Europe, and only Ukraine has a lower indicator - 63 points.
Over the quarter, the number of Russians who positively assess their prospects in the labor market decreased (from 24% to 21%), as well as those who consider the current situation suitable for spending (from 24% to 20%).
The number of Russians who tend to save money immediately increased by 10% - from 69 to 79%. Most (59%) save on their wardrobe, followed by food (56%), household appliances (38%) and entertainment (36%).
