The popular tourist hiking route from Angasolka to Slyudyanka on the ice of Lake Baikal in Irkutsk Oblast has been recognized unsafe.

      The inspectors checking the hiking route from Angasolka to Slyudyanka came to the conclusion that the uniformity of the ice thickness was not even enough.

      Therefore, hikes on the ice along the route are currently dangerous. Tour organizers will be warned about the danger. In order to ensure the safety of tourists, the state of the ice will be checked every week.
