The small towns of Tula Oblast started to hold the events on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the Tula Kremlin and the establishment of the Bolshaya Zasechnaya Cherta military fortifications of XVI century.
The anniversary celebrations in the Bogoroditsky Palace of Bobrinsky Counts included the opening of the exhibition “The History of Bogoroditsk: from a Fortress Town to the “Empress’s Flower Garden”. The basis of the exhibition is presented by archaeological, everyday, ethnographic, graphic, numismatic objects, grouped on thematic and chronological grounds.
The exhibition is complemented by the designer’s dolls of the St. Petersburg artist Galina Belekhova wearing dresses of the epochs of Peter I and Catherine II. According to the decree of the President of the Russian Federation, 2020 is the year of celebrating the 500th anniversary of the construction of the Tula Kremlin and the beginning of the creation of the Bolshaya Zasechnaya Cherta military fortifications.
