Wildberries may Bypass AliExpress in Russia in Terms of Turnover

Wildberries may bypass AliExpress in Russia in terms of turnover this year.

Russian online stores Wildberries and Ozon are reducing the gap with AliExpress: the first one can outperform the Chinese retailer in terms of turnover this year, Kommersant reports citing JP Morgan analytics.

So, Russian retailers have already stepped up to the Chinese competitor in such indicators as revenue and number of users. Also, the sites were almost equal in terms of their monthly audience.

Analysts believe that the success of the Chinese site in Russia forced Russian companies to reconsider their strategy - in particular, to boost investments in  delivery, increasing the network of pick-up points and storage facilities.
