About 50 thousand football fans from Finland will come to St. Petersburg to support the national team at the European Championship 2020, according the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry in the northern capital Vladimir Zapevalov.
“The Finnish national team plays in this tournament for the first time... Our Finnish colleagues announced that about 50 thousand Finnish fans will be coming here for matches and maybe staying here for some time. The headquarters has been created, we will work on it”, as Zapevalov said at a press conference.
According to him, a system similar to the Fan ID of the World Cup 2018 will operate at the games of European Championship. Fan zones will also be open on the Palace and Konyushennaya squares.
