The Russian cosmetics company Blom, which produces patches with bio-soluble hyaluronic microneedles, has attracted investments from Lamoda co-founder Burkhard Binder, Rubase reports. Details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Blom said that the funds received would be spent on expanding production and working on new products.
Biotech startup is a developer of microneedle technology, which, according to the company's own statement, allows delivering active substances to the epidermal tissue without touching the vessels and nerve endings.
“Burkhkard’s investments are the so-called “smart money” - which, in addition to financing, includes expertise and assistance in strategic management and entering new markets,” Blom explained.
