Only a third of Russian SMEs will be able to receive state support. Three quarters of Russian companies from the small and medium business sector will not be able to apply for state assistance in paying salaries.

      About a third of the sector’s enterprises, about 1.74 million companies, fall under all the parameters set by the authorities. 4.24 million enterprises and individual entrepreneurs cannot apply for grants.

      Most applicants for grants are in the Yamal-Nenets okrug (43%). Dagestan (42%) and Chukotka (40.9%) are also on the list of leaders. The smallest number of companies eligible for grants (20.3%) is in Moscow.
