Russia will join the #traveltomorrow tourism campaign organized by the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
Tourism is the sector most affected by the coronavirus pandemic. The collaboration of the global hospitality industry proves that tourism continues to work together to help overcome this global emergency and supports recovery efforts. The new UNWTO campaign is a unique opportunity to share the main dish of your country, showing how the culinary heritage reflects a sense of community and culture. Therefore, the regional teams of the federal project "Gastronomic Map of Russia" will support the initiative from Russia.
Local cuisine is always an integral part of the trip and plays a big role in the process of exploring a country. Even now, in the era of global self-isolation, we still have the opportunity to keep in touch with the world and diversify our lives through gastronomic travels. Historically, a huge culinary diversity is represented throughout Russia, and each region can surprise its guests with a local traditional dish.
As noted in the Federal Tourism Agency, applications have already been submitted by chefs and manufacturers from more than 40 regions of Russia.
