Wearing masks will be mandatory in the Moscow Region from May 12.
Wearing medical protective masks in public places will be made mandatory from May 12, violators will face a fine of 4 thousand rubles, the press service of the Governor of the Moscow Region Andrei Vorobyov said.
The governor of the region signed a decree according to which from May 1 to May 11, residents of the Moscow region are strongly recommended to wear masks in public places: at all retail stores, pharmacies, transport, medical organizations, and enterprises that continue to operate. From May 12, wearing masks becomes mandatory. From May 12, the recommendation to wear masks, respirators in public places and vehicles becomes mandatory for all residents of the Moscow Region.
Control over wearing masks will be carried out by police, traffic police and other law enforcement agencies.
