The International Diaghilev Festival, which is held annually in Perm in May, against the background of the situation with coronavirus, can be postponed to the end of August - early September, according to the website of the Governor of the Perm Territory.

In 2020, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the dates of the international Diaghilev festival will be adjusted. With the favorable development of the epidemic situation in the region, the festival will be held in late August - early September.

It is noted that the final decision on the timing of the festival will be made based on the epidemiological situation. The press service recalls that in 2019, more than 30 thousand people attended the festival events. Since April 2, a ban on cultural events has been introduced in  the region. Theaters, museums, concert venues and libraries in the region continue to operate online.

The International Diaghilev Festival has been held since 2003 in Perm to maintain and develop the traditions of the impresario and propagandist of Russian culture Sergey Diaghilev. The festival program includes world premieres of opera and ballet performances, art exhibitions, concerts, a retrospective of feature films, photo exhibitions, etc.
