The rating is based on the data of the TurStat portal.

      A rating of nature and ecology museums of Russia and the CIS countries by their uniqueness and popularity is now available online. The rating was compiled by the TourStat portal for the Environmental Education Day, which is celebrated in Russia on May 12.

      

      According to the portal, the Top Ten Museums of nature and ecology in Russia and the CIS are:

      - Darwin Museum (Moscow),

      - Nature and Ecology Museum of the Republic of Belarus (Minsk),

      - Museum of the Urals Nature (Yekaterinburg),

      - Museum of Nature and Ecology (Smolensk),

      - Museum of Ecology and Local History (Pushchino, Moscow Region),

      - Nature Museum of the Voronezh Reserve (Voronezh),

      - Nature Museum of the Oka Reserve (Ryazan Region),

      - Museum of Ecology and Environmental Protection (Naberezhnye Chelny, Tatarstan),

      - Nature Museum of the Pechora-Ilych Reserve (Republic of Komi),

      - Baikal Museum (Irkutsk Region).
