The Date of Postponed Victory Parade Announced

It was previously canceled due to coronavirus.

The Defense Minister of Russia, Sergei Shoigu, has launched preparations for the Victory Parade that will take place on June 24. The date was not chosen by mere chance: it was on June 24, 1945, that the winners’ parade took place in Red Square.

The need for sanitary measures was emphasized by the Russian president.

According to preliminary data, the Immortal Regiment action will be held on July 26, the
Navy Day.

However, it is noted that the procession might be postponed for another month, depending on the situation with the coronavirus. According to some experts, Russia has passed the peak of incidence.
