Cinemas will start operating in mid-July, as Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said. There will be special seating in the halls to reduce the risk of coronavirus spreading. Museums can also open in mid-July. Theaters and concert halls may start showing performances from autumn.

Cultural institutions stopped working due to the coronavirus pandemic. Cinemas, in particular, were included in the list of the most affected industries. Rospotrebnadzor, together with the Ministry of Culture,   prepared recommendations on the operation of cinemas, which include special seating of spectators and  selling popcorn through vending machines.
