Yandex introduced the new generation of unmanned vehicles, created on the basis of the Hyundai Sonata car in collaboration with Hyundai Mobis, a subsidiary of the automaker.

      As specified in the company, this is the fourth generation of Yandex drones. On the roads of Moscow, the car has been tested since March. In total, the company designed five new-generation drones, by the end of the year their number is planned to be increased to 100. The number of cameras, including those with different focal lengths, has been increased in the new generation of drones. The location of lidars and radars has also changed. According to the company, this will improve the quality of perception of the environment of the car.

      Yandex and Hyundai Mobis signed an agreement of intent to create a platform for unmanned vehicles in March 2019. In the future, automakers will be able to use it to create unmanned vehicles, including for car-sharing companies and taxi services, partners expect.
