From June 6, the city’s churches will open for parishioners in Moscow, according to the Telegram channel of the working group on the fight against coronavirus under Patriarch Kirill. The Cathedral Church of Christ the Savior and the Epiphany Cathedral in Yelokhov will open for parishioners on Tuesday, June 2.

“On Saturday, June 6, with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill, churches of the city of Moscow are opening for parishioners,” the statement said. The working group clarifies that parishioners will have access to churches according to the recommendations of the Rospotrebnadzor.

Recall that Rospotrebnadzor issued recommendations on the opening of churches on May 29. The opening will take place in three stages, which differ in the permissible capacity of believers. Now we are talking about the first stage of lifting the restriction, there can be one person per 1 square m.
in the church.
