Holidays in Russia may Rise in Price by 30%

The cost of vacations in Russia  may increase by 30%. The tourism industry of the country will recover no earlier than 2022. The decline in turnover in the tourism sector due to the COVID-19 epidemic ranged from 95% to 100%, Rostourism estimates lost revenues at 1.5 trillion rubles.

If the current restrictions on the external borders of the Russian Federation continue, then prices on domestic routes may rise. This is due to increased demand for domestic resorts.

Russia is ready to gradually open the tourist season. Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said that it was planned to resume tourist trips between regions from July 1. The heads of regions will prepare plans for the launch of the tourism industry by June 15.
