Since June 10, a strict regime of electronic passes for visitors who do not have local registration will be introduced at the main airport of Kamchatka.
Acting regional deputy chairman noted that there are two circumstances that the authorities of the region have designated as an occasion to visit Kamchatka during restrictions due to coronavirus. This is a visit to relatives, or work in a particular enterprise.
People who have no reason to issue an electronic pass will be required to go through a two-week quarantine in the observatory at their own expense, or they will be offered to leave Kamchatka with the next flight.
Such a control system was introduced for the safety of the inhabitants of Kamchatka, especially in fishing villages on the coasts, where visitors who are not connected by labor contracts with enterprises seek to earn money on the salmon path.
The region has a mask regime, regular passenger traffic between the peninsula regions has been discontinued, the previously introduced restrictions remain in force.
