The authorities of Karelia hope that the Kizhi Museum-Reserve will resume work on June 15, and all tourist sites will open in the near future, the head of the republic Arthur Parfenchikov said on Monday.
He added that currently open-air tourist facilities have already been opened in the republic. Answering the president’s question about how the establishment of public catering enterprises in the region affected the situation with coronavirus, Parfenchikov noted that this did not entail negative consequences. The head of the republic emphasized that protective screens, by analogy with cafes and restaurants, are planned to be installed in fitness centers.
