Moscow authorities completed the second stage of the study of population immunity to coronavirus among citizens. According to its results, it was found that 17.4% of Muscovites have antibodies to the causative agent of infection.
For more than a month they been conducting studies on the presence of population immunity. The first stage of testing lasted from May 4 to May 21, and antibodies were found in 12% of Muscovites. The second stage of testing is completed now, and antibodies have 17.4% of Muscovites, that means, population immunity increased by almost 5% in two weeks. Moscow employers will be able to test their employees for antibodies at the expense of the city.
Earlier, the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova said that 650 thousand people were tested for antibodies in Russia, and according to the results, almost 14% showed immunity. The study was conducted in 46 regions.
Recall that selective testing for the presence of immunity to coronavirus in Moscow began on May 15. From May 27, anyone can take an antibody test for free.
