The State Memorial and Nature Reserve "Museum-Estate of Leo Tolstoy "Yasnaya Polyana" (Tula Region) was reopened for visitors, the press service of the museum-reserve reported on Tuesday.
"From June 16, we open the Yasnaya Polyana Reserve and the greenhouse. If you wish, you can use the audio guide for walks in the central part, as well as explore the territory of the greenhouse. Families with children can use the game guides on the estate," it was reported. During walks, it is recommended to follow the rules of a social distance of 1.5-2 meters and, if possible, a mask mode. All museum buildings, including the writer’s house, are closed to visitors.
Museum-Estate "Yasnaya Polyana" and its branches have stopped receiving visitors since March 18 due to the spread of coronavirus infection. All events held by the museum were also canceled.
Yasnaya Polyana is the family estate of the writer, where he was born and spent most of his life. The memorial landscapes of the estate (gardens, parks, ponds, forests planted by Tolstoy), as well as buildings of the late 18th - early 19th centuries, are maintained in their unchanged historical form.
