Cinemas in Russia were allowed to open from July 13, subject to the consent of the regional authorities. The corresponding order was signed by the head of the Ministry of Culture, Olga Lyubimova.
All the opening cinemas are required to comply with the measures prescribed by Russian consumer protection agency Rospotrebnadzor.
Thus, the intervals between sessions in one hall should be at least 30 minutes long. During this time, the hall is to be cleaned and ventilated, whereas the chairs must he disinfected. Cinema goers must wear safeguards and maintain social distancing.
Cinemas were closed from March 23. The losses incurred by the lockdown are estimated at 48,000,000,000 rubles.
