Routes connecting St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region with four Finnish cities will open in 2021.
The routes will be laid within the framework of the "Tourist Corridor" St. Petersburg - Saimaa project and will link Russia with the Finnish Savonlinna, Imatra, Lappeenranta and Mikkeli.
The region will also open ecological, walking and cycling routes associated with the activities of the commander Alexander Suvorov (project "Suvorov Canals - from oblivion to a tourist fortress"). Currently, they are being prepared and equipped. The renowned military leader strengthened the borders of Finland with Sweden and made an invaluable contribution to the development of the Leningrad land.
In addition, five new routes called "Star of Victory" are being prepared, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, as well as four rural routes. In 2021, it is planned to build a passenger pier near the Museum "Breaking the Blockade of Leningrad" in the Kirovsky district of the Leningrad region.
