An entire era of Russian history as captured in songs will be presented at the Gogol House Museum, Moscow.
A free concert titled “The History of 20th Century Russia in Songs. 1900s-1940s” will take place in the theatrical hall of the Gogol House on September 29, 2020.
It will present Russian folk songs, romances, famous film songs by
Isaac Dunaevsky
, hits from the repertoire of Pyotr Leshchenko and Isabella Yurieva, tango by Oscar Strok and many others. All of them are a cultural reflection of the period from the beginning of the 20th century to the Great Patriotic War.
The songs will be performed by Natalia Gryaztsova, Ekaterina Zaitseva, Oksana Polonskaya, Elena Ryabchikova, Andrey Sorochenkov, Pavel Toropov, Valeria Frantseva.
Admission is free.
