The world ranking of the 150 largest acquirers in terms of the number of payments processed through devices for accepting cards in retail outlets includes seven banks from Russia. Sberbank is the leader among Russian banks, it takes the third place, FIS (36.7 billion payments) and the American JPMorgan (29.4 billion payments) are ahead of it.
Russian banks in the top 150 largest acquirers:
Sberbank (20.6 billion payments) - 3rd place,
VTB (2.2 billion payments) - 35th place,
Gazprombank (933 million payments) - 59th place,
Tinkoff Bank - 88th place,
"Russian Standard" - 89th place,
Promsvyazbank - 103rd place,
Alfa Bank - 135th place.
The study for 2019 was conducted by Nilson Report, RBC reports. By the number of banks from one country in the world ranking, Russia shares the second place with France and Iran, while the first is Turkey. The previous rating was compiled in 2017. Then the same Russian banks entered it, except for Tinkoff Bank.
