Great Britain will support measures against Russia. Earlier, the Foreign Ministries of France and Germany announced that they would send a proposal to the EU partners to impose sanctions. The Netherlands will support this decision.
“The UK supports our German and French partners in our response to the hideous poisoning of Alexei Navalny. While the Russian authorities have clear reasons for responding, they are not making any serious attempts to investigate the attack,” Mr. Raab said.
On October 6, the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) confirmed the conclusions of the laboratories of France and Germany about the poisoning of the politician. According to Reuters, the sanctions will affect representatives of the Russian military intelligence (GRU, now called the Main Directorate of the Russian General Staff).
