US President Donald Trump has ordered the full declassification of all documents relating to the investigation into his alleged ties with Russia, as well as the email scandal of his 2016 election rival Hillary Clinton. He did not specify, when and where the information would be available.
“I have fully authorized the total Declassification of any & all documents pertaining to the single greatest political CRIME in American History, the Russia Hoax. Likewise, the Hillary Clinton Email Scandal. No redactions!” Trump wrote on his Twitter page.
In May 2017, the United States began an investigation into alleged "Russian interference" in the 2016 elections, overseen by Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller. In March 2019, the investigation announced that in the course of the proceedings, numerous attempts by Russian representatives to intervene in the election race in the United States were identified, but it was impossible to declare collusion between Donald Trump and Russia due to insufficient evidence.
