The Moscow Mayor's Office is developing a system for monitoring passenger traffic with the collection of data from gadgets directly, without using information from telecom operators. Within six months, it is planned to place 220 hardware and software complexes at public transport stops, which will collect the MAC addresses of user devices.
The system will work in conjunction with CCTV cameras. It provides for the collection of their MAC addresses from Bluetooth and Wi-Fi devices within a radius of 50 m from the APC. With the help of such monitoring, reports will be compiled on the movement of a person for the day, week, month and year.
