The Moscow History Museum welcomes all to an exhibition dedicated to the outstanding political figure, Emperor Alexander III, nicknamed the Peacemaker.
During his reign, Russia experienced an economic and cultural boom, and had a respite before the hard upheavals of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The main achievements of the reign of Alexander III were the economy growth and the prosperity of culture and science. It was during his reign that the construction of the Trans-Siberian Railway began, to which special attention was paid at the exhibition. Presented are historical documents, memorabilia, household items associated with this event.
The purpose of the exhibition is not only to tell what an outstanding politician and sovereign Emperor Alexander III was, but also to show what kind of a person he was. How he studied, what he was fond of, what toys he played, what kind of a son, brother, husband and father he was. An interesting addition to the exposition will be the jewelry of the AXENOFF jewelry house, created in the old Russian style, once greatly favoured by the emperor.
